Carlisle

The start of a busy few days which hopefully will explain my lack of blip activity. We are picking up a hire van from Carlisle in the afternoon and decided, as we had near been to Carlisle, to spend the morning having a look around. We visited the cathedral and viewed the castle although didn't have the time to wander in. Mr B collected the large transit and we drove home in time to attend the inaugural annual lecture of the Cartmel Village Society in the village hall. A very interesting talk on the medieval history of Cartmel. Back home by 9pm and then daughter arrived to help load the van with furniture the following day.
