La Rentrée 2: Return of la rentrée

Today was CarbBoy's turn to be escorted to the school bus, though he sensibly wanted to leave for the 3 minute walk about 15 minutes before the time of the bus (so that no-one would see me with him - well he didn't say that out loud of course).  TallGirl, confusingly*, had the morning off.

Morning of various work things, then off to be the school bus for TallGirl and local friends who didn't want to have to spend the morning at school with nothing to do.  In to drop CarbBoy's medicines off at the school nurse (they are, obviously, now out of date and I have to replace them all...) then home for work until it was time to take CarbBoy's basketball kit to him after school.

Having a school bus is really saving me a lot of trips into town...

Later, hearing all about CarbBoy's new class (him and his mates have all been split up, but he is with the other British kid instead - who happily he gets on with!) some limited telly watching, a FaceTime with MrB, and early night for the kids.

TallGirl has some issue with fungus on her fish, which seems to be killing off some of the cute little ones (I will be opening the fish tomb at the bottom of the garden again tomorrow I think), and I had to remind myself how the clever plastic cover things for the textbooks work.

A normal routine is so close I can nearly touch it...

*Very confusingly for Mr B who only started getting the hang of what was going on towards the end of today - despite several attempts to explain it to him at the weekend.  He says he's got it now, and was somewhat disappointed when I explained that it'll all be different next year.
