Circumzenithal Arc and Sundog

All the way home I was trying to photograph a pair of sundogs but only managed to capture one (see extra), failed capture (extra 2).

Arriving home, Miss Flum pointed out a fine circumzenithal arc, a halo phenomenon which forms between the sun and the zenith, (directly above) from refraction of sunlight by ice crystals in high clouds.

The cloudcollectors handbook awards 45 points for the arc, with a bonus of 25 when it appears with sundogs, so I get a cool 70 for this display. (Sorry I can't show you the left-hand dog).
