The Enchanted Highway

We left Medora mid morning after a lovely breakfast at the Cowboy cafe. Dianne met up with Kevin the owner and had a good catch up. I drove the interstate to the enchanted highway then all the way down to the end. There are 7 sculptures all shown in the collage, my favourite is the tin family. The 2nd to top one on the right actually moved if you pushed the button. We met up with the site maintenance man and he told us about the gift shop at the end of the sculptures which was run by his wife so of course we stopped there. We had been told in Medora about a superb ice cream place on the interstate so that was the next stop. Dianne drove us into Bismark the state capital, I was very disappointed in their tower block capitol building in the extra. I thought our paths might cross with Mr Trump but he was visiting Wednesday and we were there Tuesday. Another drive down the interstate, its so easy very little traffic the complete opposite of the M6!!! We turned off and headed to a place called Ellendale where we stopped at Lori's house. I met Lori in London in 1980 so it was great to see her again. We arrived back at Dianne's at about 10.30pm only 1400 miles after setting off!!!!!
