Champagne celebration

We were up early this morning to meet Katharine and Jack at Waverley and catch the train together to Manchester to visit our friends lapsed blipper ClarissaFox, Mr Fox and Tania. Meanwhile John and Doreen headed north from London to join us for the weekend.

Over the course of the afternoon we enjoyed lunch, Catan (Mr Fox won), a couple of trips to the park (one for the dog walkers, one for the runners), and lots of chat.

This huge bottle of Champagne was opened early evening before dinner (coq au vin and/or roast goat) while we played Imploding Kittens. We were celebrating Mr Fox's birthday, the wedding anniversary of the Foxes, and my family's wins at the parish show 150 miles north.

I am proud to have been awarded a first, second and third prize in the three photography classes at the show: 1st for A big jump on Reef beach, 2nd for Framed trees, and 3rd for In the machair.

Exercise today: small amount of walking, plus running loop of Alexandra Park (~12 minutes)
