Apple harvest

There are hundreds of apples in my parents' garden so Mr hazelh and I braved the nettles today to help out with the harvest. The red ones look particularly jolly, as blipped.

We exchanged some of these apples with Katherina for a squash and a couple of courgettes. She grew these on her allotment in Hexham, which we visited this morning after breakfast at her house.

Tonight we are staying in Newcastle ahead of an 08:00am appointment at the Biobank tomorrow. On our way here I stepped out of the train at the Metro Centre to hand over the famous Australian wedding present plate to my cousin Frank and his wife Clare (who married 15 years ago!) We've had a fun evening in the 'toon' with cocktails in the hotel followed a wonderful sushi supper just around the corner.

Exercise today: walking (11,922 steps).
