Framed trees

Today Mr hazelh, our friend K (AKA the Russian Party Princess) and I joined the Haltwhistle Walking Festival for a lovely day out in the Northumbrian countryside on a walk led by fellow blipper walkingMarj.

Entitled Quaker Chapel and Art Project, the 6 mile walk included a visit to an art installation by Dr Julie Livsey, and a talk by the artist about her work. There's more about this on walkingMarj's blip from 28th September 2015.

Along the route walkingMarj related interesting information about the area. It really was a fantastic way to spend an autumn Saturday out in the open for some gentle exercise with a great group of people. It was so lovely and warm that we were able to eat our picnic lunch in the chapel graveyard (blipped by walkingMarj).

Exercise today: 6 mile walk.
