It Tastes Just As Good Up-side Down

Along the walkway today, on the eastern side of the Inner Estuary, tuis were frantically feeding in the Kowhai trees. These songsters are nectar feeders and Kowhai is one of their favourite sources of nectar.

Their faces get absolutely plastered with pollen. You can see it on this one and in the extras. They are great pollinators. You can see too in the main blip how the tail is used for balance.
