The Glorious Frari in Venice!

We arrived in Venice on our flight from Newark, took the bus to the Piazzale Roma and then took the 20 minute walk to our wonderful residence--an old 6-story palazzetto  two minutes from this marvelous church: Santa Maria Gloriosa  dei Frari, to give it its full name.  It's the main edifice of the Franciscans in Venice.  We have the smallest apartment on the 5th floor (6th by an American count); its layout is definitely quirky, though workable, and it has three small windows with views in three directions.  This image was the best--captured 35 minutes from sunset, as the sun came out for a moment.

Our previous Venice visit  was exactly six years ago, with blips starting here. (The current stay is our seventh--we started with our honeymoon in 1995.)
