FENWAY PARK

HOME OF THE BOSTON RED SOX

Had a great day.  Baseball this afternoon.  Drove to Boston and then walked to the baseball ground. What a place.  It holds less people than St James Park but looks bigger.  If you check our justbe's blip you can see a good view of the ground.

We had great seats just behind where the hitter stands.  The game was long. Lots of breaks.  I could just about follow what was happening - with Betsey's help. The Red Sox WON.  Yay.

We spent a short while in the club shop where I bought a couple of souvenirs and then we made our way back to the car.  We walked through Boston and I saw the finish line for the Boston Marathon and the spot where the bombs went off.  We walked through a lovely park,  There was a thunderstorm with heavy rain and we had to take shelter for a while till the rain stopped.  We still got quite wet.

Back to the car and then we drove to a seafood restaurant,  Starter was coconut shrimps.  My main was fish and chips with coleslaw and for pud I had strawberries ( served in a stainless steel gravy boat ) with ice cream and cream.  Food was good.  Service was slow.

Back home. blip. bed.  A " banner day ".... as Betsey would say.

Steps -- over 10,000
