Financial Therapy

Up town to meet the Advisor. You could be forgiven for thinking that a financial advisor is someone to talk to if you want to maximise your income from savings, or figure out when your pension should be crystallised. All of the above of course, but so much more. That’s why we had to continue our session into lunch. And beyond. A son of very strict religious parents, our chap GC, knows indeed that there are no pockets in a shroud. Early on in the conversation he says he’d like to discuss some very niche investment vehicles. A Crabber 26, no less. Easily justified, he says. And you know you want one - look I’ve printed out a picture of one (he had!). And then it was time for his bus home - we’ll get a half he says, rushing to the bar. A minute later he returns - they don’t take cards - have you a fiver? I fear that’ll be about all I’ll have. They are lovely looking boats though…
