A new arrival

Cathleen has always said that when she retired she would get a dog.

Despite my strong cat tendencies - illustrated often in this journal - we have had dogs before including a dachshund called Rula shortly after we were married and I was brought up in a family that always had lots of them.

I did fight a little against the idea at this particular time , given how mobile we have had to be , but today was "D Day" - dachshund day.

So welcome new wee Rula . You have won a few hearts already .
