Time Out

I spent a short time chasing this Painted Lady around the butterfly bushes in the backyard this afternoon.  After a while, it got used to me being there and started landing on the blossoms in spite of my presence.  Most of my shots were aimed at the backside or the butterfly was upside down, but finally, it landed just right and I got my blip.  As I was doing this, I was relishing the feeling of escape-from-everything when I am focused on a nature shot like this. The rest of the world just fades away and these days, that's such a good thing.  When I got this up on the computer screen, I was amazed at how hairy it is.  It looks much sharper in large.  (grumble, grumble).
