It's raining.....

.....spring flowers drizzled with droplets, colours vibrant against the dullness of the day, it's squishy underfoot and a light breeze sends sodden petals twirling to the ground.

I wandered through my garden with a raincoat on, nice to let the fragrance drift alongside me, it felt so good to be in my 'happy' place sipping on a hot cuppa.

Sadly I don't know the name of this beautiful red rhododendron, it was tiny when we first arrived some 22 years ago. Today it's huge and needs an annual prune, the blooms are deliciously big and vibrant, this was hubby's pick out of today's shots.

I'm no longer looking like a scarecrow, so nice to sit at the hairdressers, enjoy some conversation and have a relax. A bit more unpacking to be done but we're easing into being at home again.

Changes in our small town - we now have 3 sets of traffic lights, Lumino dentists have opened along with Briscoes and a new BP petrol station, the town is booming!!

For those who may be interested, yesterday's blip is up - better late than never eh! It's an aerial shot of the Seaward Kaikoura Range, nicely snow capped.

Hope you're all having a good week :)
