Treat

My big treat today was a visit to Symphony Hall to hear the CBSO and Chorus in Haydn's 'Creation'. Their new conductor took a bit of getting used to as she's all over the podium, crouching and jumping and wafting her arms balletically, but it's amazing what you get used to! LH likes to come although it's an expensive way of dozing! I discovered why Part 3 is rarely performed; very little for the chorus plus very 18th century attitudes about women and obedience :-D
Extras are pretty fairy lights along the canal; water feature in the square en route.
Morning was a walk in a torrential downpour which came from nowhere. Poppydog wasn't bothered and had a good swim in her local bathing pond and then snooze while I did some odd bits and bobs of shopping. Then more snoozing while I got on with cleaning ... Not a bad life!
