A Fungus Fest

We, the poor inhabitants of this island, may not have appreciated the wet dismal summer, but the local fungi have had a ball. I walked the marches this morning in early sunshine and saw these toadstools all within a short distance. I might have preferred chanterelle mushrooms, but begging blippers have to make do with what's on offer and even if none of the above will see the frying pan, they can have their moment of glory on these pages.

The lovely sunshine lasted until I decided to sit outside, whereupon the clouds rolled in. The story of my life this summer. I took my chair back again to the cupboard.
