York Street Performer

Another hectic day…..

Our daughter and husband and our granddaughter came to visit today, whilst my brother is still in the country. Mrs madwill had to work, but the rest of us headed off to York Monks Cross for brunch. We then took the park and ride bus into town.

We squeezed up the Shambles and jostled for position outside the Minster, then fought through crowds to Clifford’s Tower. An exhausting walkabout. Whilst on tour we stopped to watch a street performer. He was very entertaining and, amongst other tricks, was juggling flaming torches whilst riding a nine foot monocycle blindfolded!

Home again for a much needed cup of tea, and of course a play with our granddaughter.

We all then met with our son in Wetherby for a family dinner in the Chinese restaurant.

Some of the group stayed in Wetherby for drinks afterwards but Mrs madwill and I came home for a rest.
