Brownie Toadstools (Fly Agaric)

(Edit: mispoting. This was Sunday 24th but has filed itself as Monday 25th).

Sunday in Dartmoor couldn't have been more different to Saturday. Navigation was fun in fog from Bellever Tor (and then drizzle) but we were cheered by a proper clotted cream tea 'lunch'. It was a bit brighter in the afternoon, which saw great team work over the stepping stones, an enchanted moss-clad forest full of fungi and an ancient clapper bridge.

I've put the stepping stones in extras as they proved to be a team challenge. They were a lot further apart than they look! But being a Girlguiding weekend, my main blip had to be the brownie toadstools.

Everyone said they'd had a fab weekend and there was considerable navigational learning too, especially from two who confessed to previously being scared of the map & compass. It's only the second social weekend I've organised for Herts Guides Walking Team, so I'm rather pleased it went well. I've gained extra helpers for Wednesday's night nav training session with the Scouts & Guides too :-)
