The Cockerel's Crest

Today we walked north of the village up to the dam which sits above, and then onto a ridge known as the Sierra Morena or Cresta del Gallo (Cockerels's Crest).

There were spectacular views. And everywhere griffon vultures drift in the thermals and breezes - the largest colony in Europe nests in these parts, and these huge birds are ever present. Two can be seen in this blip, perched on top of a crag. Shame I haven't got a good telephoto lens with me.
