Rough Waters

We took our visiting friend to Great Falls on the Potomac this morning before he flew back home to California this evening.  I took my big lens thinking that I might see an eagle or heron, but none were to be seen and it was the kayakers on the falls that caught our attention.  We watched this fellow as he climbed up the rocks from the bottom of the falls, with his kayak on his back, and proceeded to come down a series of waterfalls in the fast-moving waters.  I have added an extra of a wide angle shot of the falls so you can see what he was maneuvering through.  It's not something I would ever even think about doing, but it was fun to photograph.
