Creeper

Today was big shopping day…although it didn't seem to be that big this week. A tour of a couple of supermarkets and a filling station took up most of the morning.

I installed some new ceramic coals in our gas fire (after the dogs decided it would be good fun to chew the previous ones and throw them around the living room).

After lunch I completed my chutney making from yesterday … it made eight jars.

Whilst that was simmering on the stove I made some beef casserole, which filled two large cast iron pots. That spent all afternoon in the oven, set on low. Had some for tea and portioned up the remainder for the freezer.

The shot today is of a cottage in the village  - the Boston creeper is rapidly turning red but there are still plenty of other colours in it.

The 'poo-sticks' have arrived!
