A Little Bit of Sunshine

It's Mr K's birthday today and we've had a lovely day.
It's the one day a year when Mr K gets a lie-in and I even brought him breakfast in bed. Raisin and cinnamon bagels which the Little Misses promptly jumped into bed and ate on his behalf!
We went up to Wolverhampton to meet Mr K's mum and we went to Wightwick Manor a wonderful Arts and Crafts manor house full of William Morris goodies. The house was beautiful and fascinating - especially the nurseries and servant's quarters (I always prefer the domestic areas to the grand public rooms!) - and the gardens were glorious even on a miserable day like today.
Then it was back to Nanny's house for yummy roast lamb, jelly and ice cream and birthday cake.
Now we're sat here eating chocolates and watching Game of Thrones. Mr K may even crack open his birthday whisky soon....
I gave him a cryptic clue to his birthday present this morning:

As he doesn't do cryptic crosswords he was at something of a loss but got there in the end with a lot of prompting!!
