Bug on a 'shroom

it's that time of year
when fairies look for shelter --
a mushroom will do

Well, probably not this one, as it's small and there would be some work needed to repair the roof. I suspect this bug had had a bit of a meal from it.

Lovely autumnal weather this afternoon; I took a short walk in the nearby park and gathered lots of images. The photos I took of mushrooms are my favourite. I might use this as my photo for day 5 of the "one black and white photo a day for seven days" FB challenge I was nominated for by fellow blipper OTP... The black and white part is not the hardest part of the challenge for me, what is is that the photos must not feature people!
