Stormy Glow

Today we went up to Bishop Auckland to visit Mrs madwill’s mother in hospital - it was a horrible drive up there with very strong cross winds on the A1.

She continues to make progress - albeit slowly - and is probably going to be moved to a different hospital soon as she no longer needs the level of support provided in her current location.

We took her out of the ward (in a wheelchair) to the hospital cafe for a change of scenery - I think she quite enjoyed that.

On the way home again it was not quite as windy as earlier in the day, but the lorries and vans were still lurching about the lanes in the gusts.

I took Finlay out for his second walk and the sun was creating a wonderful golden glow in the clouds - I caught this shot just as the sun dropped behind the brow of a hill.
