Different Day, Different Dawn

I walked to the beach again this morning, barely daring to hope for a noteworthy sunrise as there was thick cloud coverage - so very different from yesterday. As I got to the sea, I could see that the clouds didn't quite meet the horizon, so I began to hope, although the clouds themselves were creating plenty of drama! In fact, the actual sunrise was brief but beautiful - a bright red ball creeping above the horizon for a short while before disappearing again behind the clouds. It cast a lovely red path of light across the sea. Beautiful to behold but impossible to photograph - I've yet to capture a red sun that doesn't turn white in the camera. Some research needed, unless any of you lovely blippers know the answer!

Anyway, it was great to watch and was a lovely start to the day. The clouds very quickly disappeared and it was another beautiful, hot, blue sky day. I have to say I spent a sizeable chunk of it doing paperwork - the mixed blessing of computers and the internet which means that such activities follow you, no matter where you are. A satisfying chunk of day also spent swimming in the pool and lying in the sun.....

Many thanks to you all for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts for yesterday's sunrise - you are most kind to call in on my journal when I am being so bad at reciprocating at the moment!

Enjoy the rest of your evening!
