An ordinary life....

Everybody Needs a Bosom for a Pillow...

See extra pic for the title to make any sense :-)

Been going like a fayre here today.

Alan's support worker Ali arrived, then Willie the painter, then Louise my weekly woman I could not do without and her daughter Isobel, then two technicians to check and repair a fault with the pool equipment, then a delivery guy with the wallpaper to replace the faulty batch for the spare room, then Shona the puppy trainer!

Utter mayhem!

Thankfully Lola greeted Shona much more calmly this week but I suspect only because David had taken her to the park earlier in the morning to get rid of some of her energy.  He did say she was much calmer when meeting the lovely young mums and other dogs today, so perhaps she is learning some manners.

David, Shona and Lola had a good session in the garden and Shona is pleased with her progress.  Phew.  When they came back inside we were discussing Lola putting her paws on the sofa and how to deal with that and whether she's allowed on the sofa or not.  We were just saying that we don't mind her being on the sofa by invitation (rather than her thinking it's her right) when, in the blink of an eye, she jumped up and got herself settled.  That's the first time she's done that!  It was as though she was saying stuff you and your invitation.  I'm up!   Very difficult trying to keep a straight face when telling her to get down.

Shona won't be back for two weeks as it's the school hols so she's left us working on side walking, recall and daytime crate training.  Hope she will see a big difference when she returns.

With all the coming and going David and I didn't have lunch till 4pm.   Just remembered John and Norma are coming for lunch tomorrow so better go and get the Tesco online order finished.

Can't help but feel a little chuffed that I am uploading my blip just now and not just before midnight!  That's progress!
