The Zoomies...

John and Norma came for lunch and to meet Lola for the first time.

OMG!

Lola was just waking from a nap when they arrived and was Little Miss Charming, wagging her tail, sitting nicely and generally being welcoming and friendly. She really took a shine to Norma and enjoyed some tummy tickles.

Then as sleep left her, excitement took over and the Zoomies began.

She was hurtling round the place at a million miles an hour, jumping from sofa to floor to foot stool to sofa and back again. Jumping up, skidding, generally going hell for leather.

As instructed by Shona, the trainer, we all stood up, folded our arms and stopped engaging with her in order to calm her down. Did it work? Did it stuff! Three minutes standing and she's still hurtling round the place. This lot are useless because they kept laughing!

Eventually I suggested David put her in her crate for a few minutes with some treats to calm her down. He did and five minutes later she was lying by my feet, sound asleep! Peace at last! :-))

She was lovely later though and John and Norma got to see the real Lola and fell in love with her.

Andrew and Nikki popped in late evening in their way back from the Enchanted Forest with Lola's new Ikea Goldies. One the size she has and the larger version that is being kept for her Christmas.

She had the Zoomies when they came in too but not for so long.

I'm exhausted just looking at her!
