Manchester Central

I walked passed Manchester Central on my way to a meeting. Lots of people in high viz jackets putting all sorts of stuff into the backs of lorries. This chap politely waited whilst I took a photo.

I suspect that the Conservative Party will be glad that this conference has ended. I saw clips of Theresa May’s speech on TV last night, it was just embarrassing to watch. I found myself feeling sorry for her. How many things can all go wrong at once.

En route I had also crossed the Irwell. It was high after the overnight rain, with debris being carried downstream. The extra is taken a few hours after the peak. No overnight flooding thank goodness, but some residents were alarmed.
