After last night’s palaver, we didn’t have much hope but this morning - just like magic - the boot opened first time. Winner!

Carried all the furniture inside then headed out for the day. We walked all through Bedminster and along North Street, and went in every charity shop as we went. Stopped for brunch in Tincan, then crossed the river for a brief stop in Spike Island.

Next was Grayson Perry at the Arnolfini (wonderful but super busy), then up the Christmas Steps to the little print galleries at the top of the hill. We were both pretty restrained but very grabby and excited.

Back home via the park, I cooked chilli with some leftover pumpkin. When G got home we watched Bake Off.
