An ordinary life....

Sisters...

After the drama of last night and Lola eating the rubber stoppers, she had a settled night and her first poo this morning had little bits of rubber in it. David says her second poo of the day bounced when it hit the ground, so we are confident that the crisis is over and all the rubber is out! (Sorry, TMI :-)

Great excitement mid morning when Carole (Lola's breeder) arrived with Freya, Lola's sister.

Freya is used to dogs as she has her mum and Carole's older Goldie Mia, whereas Lola has only been seeing dogs in the park for a couple of weeks since she's been able to get out. To say she was besotted by her sister is an understatement!

When Carole arrived she took Freya into the garden and David took Lola. They had great fun tearing around and eventually did their business.

Back inside they raced around chasing each other and playing bitey face games. It was lovely seeing Lola with a playmate :-)

We had bacon rolls and the girls had goat's milk then it was time for a wee rest. Soon after they were playing again although Freya wanted to play with Lola's toys but Lola wanted Freya to play with her. Very cute but annoying for Freya :-)

It was so lovely to see them together and see how similar they are in behaviour and looks. Freya's coat is darker than Lola's but I think as Lola's adult coat comes in she will darken considerably. They are similar height but Lola has a longer back and muzzle so that makes her look slighter. What is identical though is they both have big paws and are sooooo cute! I think Freya is a little bit better behaved though :D

Agnes and Adrian arrived just as Carole and Freya were leaving so they got to see Freya too. This was the first time Adrian had met Lola and within minutes he was under her spell.

They both think it's hilarious that we have a dog as over the past 20 odd years they've been the ones with a dog. Due to Lola using all her energy playing with Freya, she was in mellow mood for the rest of the day and basically behaved like a perfectly trained puppy.

When David brought her in from the garden she followed all his commands to wait and sit and wait while he removed her lead and then side walked beautifully with him. Then she sat still while he prepared her dinner and put it down for her. Lovely display of manners.

Later on she ignored David when she was told to get off the chair so he removed her. She sat in the huff for a minute then went to David and gave him a paw and wanted cuddles, then she was happy again. I'm hoping this means all the hard work is starting to pay off.

Agnes and Adrian left after final cuddles with Lola and she has been sound asleep since then. A busy and exciting day for us all :-))
