Pink-footed Geese!

Visited the Nature Reserve this morning  -  no sign of the rabbit although I was informed it hadn't been caught yet. Strangely myxomatosis is not a notifiable disease.  When I asked the Volunteer why this was so she said it was because it wasn't transferable to humans!  A pretty dreich sort of day as you can see from the Heron wading in grey waters in an extra.  The other extra is of two cock pheasants having a ding-dong in the reeds.  There was no female in sight so they weren't fighting over that  -  maybe they are territorial birds?  My main blip is of the pink-footed geese that migrate from Iceland and Greenland to the Montrose Basin for Winter every year.
