Stanpit Marshes

Called round at the Lady Plumber's midday, to thank her and pay what we owe. We've had a few problems to deal with in recent weeks at my Mum in Law's, and a couple have been solved by a call to the Lady Plumber. The sign by her front gate is looking seasonal (extra).

This afternoon we visited nearby Stanpit Marshes. Have not been there for years, I think we'll be coming again soon. The blip shows the beach huts at Mudeford spit in the distance. On the spit in Christchurch harbour visible in front of the huts is a flock of brent geese, back from their breeding grounds in the Arctic. Our smallest goose (about the same size as a mallard), I think of them as the southern goose, not seen on northern coasts.
