Look what you did to my car, Ophelia!

We were not badly affected by storm Ophelia in Staffordshire as the wind was not more than blustery.  We did have the remarkable orange sky and sun, due to the Saharan sand and Portuguese smoke and ash, for two or three hours which made it feel as if there was an eclipse.  However, it was quite revealing this morning to see the state of my previously 'clean' car.  It seems that a lot of the fine sand and ash was falling from the sky as we were all watching and last night's dew has set it on the paintwork of the bonnet and roof.  It makes you wonder what we were breathing in too.

Now where did I put the bucket and sponge?
