Anchors A-weigh

The weather has cleared up today, which is to say the sky has reverted to the usual flat white. Some rain in the afternoon, but not cold.

I had an early start as I was heading out for a haircut. This does not take too long so I thought I would head over to Marischal College to have a look at the anchors. They have been gathered up from the various places where they have spent the summer and are now all together at Marischal College prior to finding permanent homes.

The street in front of Marischal College is noisy and chaotic while it is being converted to a semi pedestrianised street, which is to say it will not be pedestrianised as it will still be open to buses, so neither one thing nor the other. It is just about possible to catch glimpses of Provost Skene's house (built in 1545) here and there despite it being now largely obscured by the new office block.
