Once again, thank you so much for all those wonderful comments and concern yesterday. I had only just uploaded my pic when the electricity went off again. Back now, and how lucky we are: 350,000 homes were without power yesterday, what an amazing job Eir (Eircom) are doing. Having said that there's still a huge pole dangling over the road on the way into Durrus who are still mainly power-less. And what a day today, talk about a contrast - dead calm, clear, crisp and warm. Just the sound of chainsaws telling you something was up - ours included as Himself dismembered a large chunk of eucalyptus. As you can see, Fineen is fine! Hope everyone up in Orkney is not getting too much of a battering now.

News from the travellers, son#2 has spent the day, in a certain amount of embarrassment, team building which involved learning a haka to terrify the next lot of people arriving tomorrow.  I would very much like to see that.

Chips and arthouse tonight -  Frantz - looks interesting.

And just looking out at the conservatory door where there is a fox resting its head on its paws on the doorstep!
