A second postcard from Herefordshire!

After a windy night, woke to stunning blue skies, though a considerably cooler day. A genteel day of National Trust properties: Croft Castle in the morning, Berrington Hall in the afternoon.

Herefordshire is definitely enjoying a bumper apple harvest this Autumn. I shall be heading home tomorrow with four different heritage varieties. In Berrington Hall's walled garden, the butterflies were also making the most of the season's bumper crop.

Had hoped to visit Leominster on the way back to the cottage, but ran out of paracetamol power so headed back for a cosy evening. Sorry for my recent lack of comments, will catch up once I'm back home and hopefully firing on all four cylinders again...
