Egyptian Geese: mother goose's morning stretch

This morning I saw two goslings trying to fly! I went back to the pond twice this afternoon in an attempt to catch one on its maiden flight, but flappy-swimming was as close as they got... I'll try again tomorrow!

I took this photograph when I first arrived this morning: the mother was looking very picturesque on one of her favourite lookout spots (part of the pond drainage system).
