Princesses And Pumpkins

(Back-blip from a missing entry a couple of weeks ago!)

I have two gorgeous Great-Nieces and today we celebrated Aneeta’s fourth birthday. Instead of having a party at home Aneeta had her party with lots of her little friends (and family) at Brocketts Farm in Surrey near Leatherhead.

The farm has all sorts of wonderful farm animals - pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, horses donkeys and even llamas. The little ones had a private session of animal handling with rabbits and guinea pigs and goats, and there were both outdoor and indoor play areas. There was a huge field of pumpkins and scarecrows, and close to the shelter where the food was set up, there were trees to climb and scarecrows to dress up. There were even a couple of pig races which were very exciting! There was lots to enjoy for both the children and the young-at-heart! I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Aneeta’s mum and dad and grandpa and grandma (my sister) brought all the food and made the ‘Princess cake’. Like most 4-year olds, Aneeta is very into princesses, and she also loves mermaids. So my gift to her, which she opened later at home, was a mermaid doll and a ‘mermaid blanket’ shaped like a mermaid’s tail. I think she liked them both!
