Tiny and frozen

It must have been cold overnight, as when we went out this morning the leaves were frozen on the lawn in front of the buildings. We were heading off on a voyage of (tram) exploration, thinking that if we got the tram 2 to its end station and then swapped to the tram 7, we could get to Hakaniemi by tram without any significant walking. In fact, we discovered that at the end station the 2 becomes the 7, so we just stayed put. It's a circuitous route to the market hall, but it really is only 1 tram. When we got there, we stocked up on cheese, meat (including reindeer shanks that have been scoffed tonight and were delicious), bread and one or two other bits and pieces. We had intended getting the tram back again as well, but it was such bright sunshine that we were tempted to walk back via Töölönlahti past Finlandia Hall. However, I'm still suffering a wee bit in the right knee department, so no really long walks for me right now.

Not much else to say, other than to reinforce that the reindeer shanks (done with red wine, fennel, carrots and shallots) were bloody delicious just now.
