Abstract orange

A tram trip down towards the south west of the city opened up for us a  wander along the shoreline towards the area of Jätkäsaari, previously a cargo port and now being as redeveloped as an urban neighbourhood. It seems appropriate to blip this picture - taken just around the corner from the Finnish Museum of Photography at the Cable Factory, which will be hosting an exhibition on the history of abstract photography from 1 November onwards. We'll be there!

Brilliant sunshine again - somewhat unexpected. And very cold. We both put on a thermal layer, although I got very hot indeed walking along before we got to Cafe Carusel where we had coffee and did some dog-spotting (our new Helsinki sport).

Afterwards pizza at Alfons - crispy spelt base, juicy toppings, and excellent spelt beer alongside. As recommended by maxfich.
