Five minutes

Backblip

It was dry when we got up so we hurried to get out on the hills before storm Brian joined us.  A low level walk was originally suggested, and that would have made more sense given the forecast, but it was over-ruled and we set off up past the YH and Levers Water.  We were lucky to have five minutes of golden sunlight and then the weather closed in.   Skirting round the back of The Old Man - there was no point in going any higher as we couldn't see much anyway - we began to walk down to Goat's Water and that's where Brian really hit us.  It was hard to keep our balance and we had to pick our moments to move, but of course the wind eased as we descended.  So, back to the hut, tea, dry clothes and then down to the pub!

The extra is of the two dogs in our party.
