the Village

I always enjoy heading out on a little getaway or some fun adventure, but I do love coming home.

Had a fabulous time with my 2 daughters at Whistler this weekend.  It rained most of the time we were there with the exception of this morning (see extra), so sadly we didn't see the mountain peaks as much as I'd hoped.  The trees however gave us quite a colourful showing!  The streets were lined with these pops of colour everywhere.  There was even a light snowfall Saturday evening which gave the Village a magical feel.  It was beautiful!

A highlight was spending 4 hours at the Scandinave Spa today where we experienced the old-age Finnish tradition of hydrotherapy.  The cycle of hot-cold-relax is proven to both energize and rest the body, improving blood circulation and activating the lymphatic system to help detoxification.  Check out the spa website if you're interested in knowing more about the hydrotherapy cycle.  The setting is stunning and you are asked to remain completely silent the entire time - no talking.  Definitely a treat to enjoy such a day of rejuvenation, especially for my busy girls.

All in all a truly memorable and treasured time.
