Departure Date

After waking up on the late side again, I decided to go souvenir hunting, specifically T-shirts and scarves, and a CD (nothing like the local music to remember the mood).  This was shot on our way back to the B&B ... hubby looking again at other monuments of the Hadrianic era ... 'What the hell happened here?" ... hahaha!

We were back at the B&B at about 11.15, hung around for half an hour, then left at 11.45 and walked to Syntagma Square to have lunch, and another go at that chocolate soufflé, after which we caught the bus to the airport.  I had already checked us in yesterday, so no hassle.  We then waited about 2.5 hours for our plane.  Take off was at 17.30, touch down at AMS Schiphol Airport was at 19.50, but it took a bit to wait for the luggage.  KLM discouraged checked luggage by putting a price tag on it, so most of us only had handcarried stuff, but now there was too much of it, so we were encouraged to check-in our stuff for free.  We then walked outside and waited for the bus to take us to the parking area and that didn't take long.  An hour and 15 minutes later, we were inside our own cozy home.

Tomorrow, I'll be back at work.  That's how fast-forward life is.  But what a grand, long, warm weekend it was!  Absolutely divine!  (For the FB friends, two full albums are ready for viewing.  For the Flickr group, you'll need to wait a while ...)
