The Chill Factor

I took Scarlett to the Chill Factor in Manchester for some fun in the snow this morning. It’s a huge indoor ski centre with ‘real’ snow, and they also cater for children, so we went sledging. I hired the ski clothes so we were nice and warm as it’s -4 degrees in there, hence The Chill Factor!

We had a great time, and once our session was up there were free activities for children due to it being half term, so she had her face painted and also drew a picture that was then put on a wall and she coloured it in. It’s going to be a big mural and will stay there for a year, so she can take her mummy and daddy to see it. I’ve added a couple of extras of her which I really like.

We then went to meet Catherine and her daughter Sarah for lunch at Frankie & Benny’s - I went to school with David, who Catherine’s married too, and connected with her a year ago after she was also diagnosed with breast cancer. Like me, she’s got through it and we said we’d meet up to celebrate. Scarlett was shy at first when she met them, but in no time at all she was full of beans!

The girls have just gone to bed and we’re about to have a crispy aromatic duck with pancakes and a glass of wine!
