Memory Lane

Verulamium park, St. Albans. Another trip to the dentist took me to St. Albans this afternoon. I parked the car by the museum and walked through Verulamium. Loads of memories here. Many times I've sailed my model yacht in the boating pond down here.

In later years I discovered it was a popular place for teenagers to go for walks (see my earlier blip here) Once I was cycling through the park with my lights off (not wanting to be seen by any park warden) and I crashed into a piece of Roman wall. As I picked myself up all I could hear was giggles and repressed sniggering from hidden persons all around.
