Seabegs

Some of the best-preserved stretches of the Antonine Wall lie within a few miles of where I live, and I drove over to one of them, Seabegs Wood, this afternoon. It's a place I have photographed many times, although not recently.

As October nears its end, several of the trees have lost their leaves and are wearing their winter look. A few metres away across the Roman-constructed ditch, other trees are still covered in tan-coloured leaves, although I suspect not for much longer.
