Salford City Council staff are encouraged to use the green wheels scheme if requiring a car for work purposes, personal car use is not supported. Those who want to park their own car at the civic have to pay, which is fair enough.

The available green wheels cars are all white, and quite a few of them are electric. Electric cars are good to drive once you get the hang of it. The internal combustion engine's days are numbered in the long term.
