Room with a view...

Today, Winston Churchill sat on the green at Westerham while we had lunch in The Grasshopper. We could just about see this statue of him from where we were sitting. His country home, during his life,  Chartwell, which we visited on Sunday, is not far away. He has been sitting on the green since 1965.

The Passat was in for it's pre MOT service and then MOT so we went to Westerham in the Riley. It always looks such a difficult car to drive! No power steering, a large steering wheel and a rather wobbly gear stick...but D loves it and it IS a lovely car. It's the car that gets to live in the garage...because the insurance says it has to.

Lunch actually turned into dinner, so just tea this evening!
