Gently down the stream

Larking about

This morning was a latish start for some.  Having already breakfasted, I wielded the frying pan, cooking bacon and eggs for the hungry young.  We then went for a walk to see what the playing fields looked like post-fireworks.  Answer?  Half churned up, half cleared up, full of sunshine and very muddy.  The bonfire was still smoking.  Hazel, in particular, got filthy, but back home the dogs were both cleaned off and then spent an hour ragging around the living room while coffee was consumed.

And now the house feels very empty, but peaceful.

This is S my son's partner, with Duke, plus Hazel looking on.  The extra is J, also playing with Duke.  I shan't see them until Christmas.  They are off to the Maldives, South Africa and Thailand, half work, half play.  I shall sure miss them.

Have a great Sunday evening, dear peeps, and forgive the family album.  I will get back to 'proper' blips tomorrow  xx
