Blackheath fireworks

Bit of a variation on a (strikingly similar) theme, but what can I say, I like this viewpoint, and this scene...!

Got up relatively slowly this morning, but then got on with cleaning and tidying the flat and getting the spare room ready for Char to stay over.  I also did all the prep for dinner and had a pie almost ready to go in the oven when she arrived just after 6pm.  We had dinner and a drink or two, then filled up the thermos with mulled wine and headed over to the heath.  

Stood in our favourite spot by the pond again, and enjoyed the show.  A particularly good one this year, with a good definite ending.  We managed to start a bit of a Mexican wave of cheering at the end!  Bumped into our neighbours on the way back and walked and chatted with them, then Tim, Char and I came in and had dessert, and watched a film (Breakfast Club), with a couple more drinks.
